The final presentation is the moment where you explain how your findings match the Deliverables of the challenge. It is one of the most important parts of the challenge, and delivering it perfectly will make a big difference. So make sure you have planned enough time to prepare.
You will have a limited amount of time to present your solution. It means you must be selective on which points you choose to present in more detail.
If there are 3 solvers/teams presenting their solution, you will have around 15 minutes to present.
If there are 2 solvers/teams presenting their solution, you will have around 20 minutes to present.
Take a short moment to concisely explain what you will go through and in which order. Your audience will find it much easier to follow your presentation.
The most important part of your presentation is the Deliverables. In other words, your end product, whether it contains findings, a recommendation, or a product prototype. The part that truly matches the deliverables should be the centerpiece of your presentation, and elaborated upon in greater details than your approach and thought process.
If you have worked in a team, make sure to make arrangements prior to the meeting. Who is going to present which part? Who is going to share their screen?
Then you have done a great job. You should present your solution in such a way that when it is left in the hands of the company, they know and understand every aspect of it.
The company can always read your presentation again after the meeting. So do not simply read the text of your presentation out loud but bring it to life. The power of speech is that you have control over the energy of your words. Take this opportunity to dive deeper into some parts of your presentations, develop key points and add your personal touch to the explanation.
It is easy to disregard this point, but it is a game changer. If your audience cannot understand you, they are missing out on...everything. Take your time talking, and make sure you enunciate clearly.
Soliciting the participation of others keeps the focus on your presentation and ensures that everybody is keeping up. Inviting comments and questions gives you the opportunity to clarify points that you might have not anticipated were unclear.
